Our Quifer rack & pinion pneumatic actuator has been specially designed for quarter turn applications such as ball, butterfly, plug valves and dampers. With a wide range of control options and output torques the Quifer actuator has unrivalled flexibility, reliability and performance.

Product Overview

The Quifer rack & pinion pneumatic is a high quality European-made actuator that can be supplied with ATEX & GOST certification and is suitable for use with SIL3 applications.

The actuator is available either in standard hard anodised aluminium or with an offshore epoxy finish for working in severe conditions.

An actuator that will remain fully operational under even the most severe temperatures & environments. These high-quality models provide a very reliable and cost-effective means of valve operation, ensuring a longer service life and lower overhead costs. All actuators are guaranteed for a minimum 1,000,000 operations.

  • All components have high corrosion resistance. (All component parts surpassed the DIN 50021 SS 1000 hour salt spray test)
  • All models are externally adjusted for both Open & Closed positions. (only 90º aluminium versions)
  • All springs are preloaded, to ensure safety when removing end covers
  • Inner cylinder bore honed to size
  • Machined shaft and pistons. (Hobbed rack)
  • Shaft has an anti blowout ring
  • Double sealing at the top and bottom of the shaft.
